New Spurs assistant Joao Sacramento's first words since joining the club and he hints at line-up

New Tottenham Hotspur assistant head coach Joao Sacramento has given his first interview since arriving at the club.

Jose Mourinho brought in the 30-year-old Portuguese coach from Lille to be his new number two at Spurs.

The highly-rated young coach has worked previously with Monaco, and before that the Welsh FA.

Having arrived at Tottenham he has quickly realised the step up he has made in his career.

Tottenham train ahead of Bayern Munich

"Well I'm very happy. When you come to Spurs you don't need too much time to understand how big this club is, especially when you see the amazing facilities, the stadium and the quality of the squad," Sacramento told Spurs' official website.

Tottenham take on Bayern Munich in the final game of their Champions League group stage and Sacramento hinted that due to the dead rubber nature of the match - both teams are guaranteed the top two places in the group with the result not changing Bayern's status as group winner - it will be a much-changed Spurs line-up.

"I think this will be a very good opportunity for some of the players to show their potential and their quality because I think for sure they have a lot of quality," said the Spurs assistant coach.

"We are happy because we got the qualification but unfortunately there is no chance to get the first place at all so that is the reality and we want to give the opportunity to implement our principles as to how we are working.

"It is a good opportunity to watch these lads playing because what is sure is that when you are in the Premier League you need the full squad so all the players are important."
