A new family cafe in south Liverpool is now open.
The Little Peacock has opened on Rose Lane in Mossley Hill, in the former Wigwam Coffee Shop site, and is serving up takeaway in line with current lockdown restrictions.
However, when its safe to do so they hope to open fully to customers and their families.
Friends Liz Wilson and Seán Gleeson said there was a 'Wigwam-shaped' hole left after the former venue closed which inspired them to save it for other families to enjoy.
They got together to save their 'second home' after spending some amazing times there with their kids.
Seán told the ECHO: "Well, a few months, a lot of work, and a fair few ups and downs later, we've now opened for takeaway.
"We're doing breakfasts, including gluten-free, vegan and keto, lunches like burgers, cauliflower hot wings, omelettes and toasties, and desserts, including waffle/pancake treat boxes alongside the usual cakes.
"As well as this, we've obviously got a whole range of coffees, teas and hot drinks, and we've also started doing milkshakes."

Whilst indoor hospitality only looks set for re-opening no earlier that May 17, Liz and Seán decided to begin trading anyway and are working hard to get the venue ready for the official grand opening then.
Liz and Sean expect to see plenty of demand once life for families has begun to normalise in the coming months.
