A new smart lock has been launched that automatically unlocks your door when you get home and then locks it again when you leave - all without your smartphone leaving your pocket.
Fitted with the latest smart home technology, the Ultion Nuki lock is compatible with Ring, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, IFTTT, AirBnB, the Nuki app and smartwatches.
As well as being protected by state-of-the-art end-to-end encryption used in online banking, the physical heart comprises an Ultion cylinder that automatically goes into lockdown mode if it detects an attack, where a hidden firing pin secures the mechanism to stop it being opened.
And Ultion is so sure an intruder won’t be able to access a property by breaking the lock, they include a £2000 security guarantee.
If you're taking a call or have your hands full, Ultion Nuki will open automatically when it senses you’re close and locks again after a few seconds. Or you can even get Alexa to open the door for you!
As well as working with all the main smart home platforms the true one-model-fits-all lock can still be used with a key if needed.
The lock , which goes on sale in July, can be retrofitted to existing doors or added to new ones and installation to operation takes just five minutes with no drilling, wiring, or calibration.
The lock is fitted to the inside of the door only. This way it doesn’t affect fittings and furniture on the outside of the door, or alert onlookers to a smart lock being fitted.

The lock has been awarded 3-Star Plus Diamond Sold Secure status and been given the highest possible rating for IT security by Germany’s respected AV-Test GmbH Institute.
And if you're a holiday home owner who rents out their property with AirBnB, by linking Ultion Nuki to the AirBnB app, when someone books a rental, they are instantly sent an electronic key giving them access to the property for the entirety of the rental period – so no fetching or delivering of keys.
