New small plates restaurant Mr MacGregor's opens in southside

A new small plates restaurant has opened in the southside... With dishes inspired by 'every corner of the world.'

Mr MacGregor's has just opened its doors on Clarkston Road and will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and cocktails from 9am until 11pm.

The menu has fare to suit all taste from vegetarian to meat and seafood – with salads and nibbles if you're just after a light bite.

Poached duck egg, Bengal spiced cauliflower, confit duck leg and seared scallops are just a few of the options on the MacGregor's menu, which you can check out HERE.

The fabled MacGregor is inspired by Phileas Fogg, the globe-trotting adventurer in Around the World in Eighty Days.

According to the restaurant, MacGregor also went travelling to discover new and exciting flavours to use in his cuisine.

A description on their Facebook page reads: "In his eyes he had the perfect combination – the sensational produce from Scotland’s larder in fusion with flavours from across the world. But he couldn’t decide on just one cuisine to bring back… and that is why we have small plates.

"Mr MacGregor wants you to enjoy something from each and every one of his travels. Within each dish lies a story that he might just tell you if you have the pleasure of bumping into him when he pops in. He is a busy man, but we always lay a place for him... just in case."

Mr MacGregor's is at 579 Clarkston Road. Follow Mr MacGregor's on Facebook and for more info, visit the website.
