New skateboard shop set to open in Glasgow city centre

A new skateboarding shop will open in the city centre this week.

Glasgow-based Fakie Apparel is the newest kid on the block at the COLAB Centre (formerly the Savoy) at 140 Sauchiehall Street.

Brothers Paul and Mark McMonagle are behind the new launch, and they've been running their lifestyle brand online up until now - as well as laying on skating extravaganzas like this one in the build up to their latest venture.

The unit will be the first store for the pair, and they can't wait to swing open the doors to the public on Thursday, September 19.

They will be stocking a huge range of goods on site, with a focus on fresh and stylish apparel.

A launch party is set to kick things off this Wednesday night, and everyone is invited to head along for an evening of skateboarding, live music and drinks - with loads of top prizes to be won.

The event takes place from 6pm - 11pm and you can register for a free ticket here.
