A West Lothian alt-rock band has released a new single.
Local two-piece band PYRO, from Bathgate, have just completed a successful year of touring with “Hit The Road” and are back with a new single “I’ll Understand”.
Connor McCarthy (vocals and drums) and Cameron McLean’s (guitar and backing vocals) punchy rhythm and strong melodic hooks have caught the attention of many across the country so this single has been highly anticipated.
“I’ll Understand” focuses on losing someone and with that, also losing a part of yourself. The verse’s focus on growing distant from someone you love and not being able to control the outcome. The chorus refers to the effect this can have on your mental health.
Mental health issues affect one in four people in the UK. The purpose of this release is to continue the conversation around mental health and be transparent about the severity of the issue.
The music video for the track continues this idea by showing individuals struggling with various mental health issues in their everyday life.
