New signings lead the way as Everton's player ratings for season so far revealed

Everton have thankfully headed into the international back in a positive mood.

Things were looking a little bleak following the Blues' disappointing 2-0 defeat at Aston Villa towards the end of last month, but the two matches following that have got Marco Silva's side back on track.

The manager watched his players battle to a hard-fought 4-2 victory in the second round of the Carabao Cup on the road to Lincoln, before taking all three points from Wolves at Goodison Park this Sunday with a 3-2 win.

Seven points from four games represents a decent start to the campaign for Everton and leaves them in sixth in the fledgling Premier League table - which is an improvement on this time last season.

Heading into the first international break of the 2018/19 term the Blues found themselves on six points and in seventh place after a lacklustre 1-1 draw with Huddersfield at Goodison Park.

But, who have been the standout performers so far this campaign?

As ever, the ECHO have attended every Everton game and have given each player a rating afterwards relating to their displays.

Tallying those scores together and getting an average for each star gives us a rough guide to who have been the best performers of the season so far - and two new signings are leading the way.

Players who have only made one appearance haven't received an average mark, so that leaves out Djibril Sidibe and Cenk Tosun.

But it's Fabian Delph who sits top of the rankings so far this term having picked up 8s in both of his Everton appearances so far, for influential displays against both Lincoln City and Wolves last week.

Alex Iwobi is hot on his tail with an average score of 7.7, with his two goals against the same opponents helping him win the hearts of his new supporters already.

Jordan Pickford finishes the top three with an average score of 7 after what has been a very strong start to 2019/20, which again has earned him a call up to Gareth Southgate's latest England squad for the international break.

Here are all the average ratings of Everton's players so far this term.
