'New signing' - Nottingham Forest fans buzzing over winger update

Joe Lolley is making encouraging strides on his return from a torn hamstring after sharing a positive update on Instagram regarding his progress.

The Nottingham Forest winger posted a picture of his boots with the words 'we're back' which suggests the former Huddersfield ace is back on the grass.

Lolley endured a frustrating campaign which was compounded when he was forced off against Reading back in March when he beginning to show signs of returning back to his best.

Lolley required an operation and now the Reds are hoping that Lolley can get back to the form of the 19/20 campaign when he played a key role for Sabri Lamouchi's side as they agonisingly missed out on a play-off spot.

But he was unable to make a similar impact under current Reds boss Chris Hughton this term having made just 16 starts in 28 games.

Forest fans were quick to respond to Lolley's update as George NFFC on Twitter said: "Yesssss he’s back on the grass in preparation for next season I hope we have the Lolley we know and love back next season."

And Talk Forest TV added: "Nice to see Joe Lolley back with his boots on."

ClaireNFFC_xo said: "This makes me happy on a dull and gloomy Monday."

And Rocky1Red rounded off by saying: "Be like a new signing."
