New signing Brodie Clark will add "another dimension" to St Johnstone WFC midfield

St Johnstone WFC bolstered their squad this week with the signing of Brodie Clark.

The midfielder, most recent of Hearts, joins up with the Perth team ahead of the second half of the season.

Saints, disappointingly defeated by Glasgow Women last week, remain well-placed in fifth in the Scottish Women’s Premier League 2.

Jason McCrindle’s side have recorded five wins, one draw and four defeats from their opening 10 games of the campaign.

“I’m delighted to get Brodie signed and I’m looking forward to working with her,” McCrindle said.

“She’s going to add quality and another dimension to our midfield.

“Brodie is coming in at a good time, so hopefully come the new year with the rest of the squad we can continue to work hard and improve for the second half of the season.”

Clark is already looking forward to the second half of the season, which gets underway on January 17.

“After being out for a few weeks due to injury, I am really excited to join the club and look forward to the opportunity of playing in SWPL 2,” Clark explained.

“Since speaking to the coaches I’m keen to get involved with their style of play as I feel it’s exactly how I like to play football.”
