New shop Cherry Bomb from team behind HMV opens in Bristol city centre

A new shop has opened in Bristol city centre selling a wide variety of items which would make perfect stocking fillers or larger gifts for loved ones this Christmas.

Cherry Bomb is located in Broadmead, in between TSB Bank and Specsavers on Merchant Street, specialising in licensed merchandise and collectables.

Headed up by the team behind HMV, customers can expect to find entertainment-related goods including posters, band T-shirts, books, mugs, gadgets and much more.

It's home to a Disney section selling notebooks, badges and more while fans of Stranger Things will love the stand dedicated to the hit sci-fi show, which includes a retro 'Eggo' card game and 3D mugs.

Five Cherry Bomb outlets have launched across the UK with HMV bosses monitoring their success before potentially lining up further openings.

Store manager Jodie Chapman said: "We specialise in entertainment merchandise covering film, music, TV programmes and more. Everything is related to media in some way.

"It's a great time for us to open in the lead-up to Christmas and people seem really enthusiastic about what we're selling so far.

"Bristol is a great place for a shop like this."

Cherry Bomb is located at 34 Merchant Street, BS1 3EP and is open every day of the week, from 9.30am until 6pm Monday to Saturday and 11am until 5pm on Sunday.
