New Second World War-themed escape room to open in Nottingham

Nottingham's escape room love affair shows no sign of waning with the city's extensive offerings - Robin Hood, submarine, evil butcher and Egyptian mummies to name a few - soon to be joined by another.

And this time it's based on a true story.

Cave Escape, in Mansfield Road, will soon be adding a second game to its existing subterranean Dracular challenge; a Second World War-themed escape room inspired by the Monuments Men story.

Full of puzzles, twists and turns, the team's mission is to repatriate the treasure stolen by the Nazis from private collections, museums and galleries and hidden in secret underground depositories, unknown to the allied forces.

Taking place on March 19, 1945, players will be given a top secret memo from President F D Roosevelt himself.

Announcing they have intelligence of Hitler issuing the Nero Decree to destroy all German infrastructure, including assets of value to the allied forces, teams are charged with saving history.

Check out the trailer for the room below.

The game is for between three and six people and lasts an hour. It has been given a difficulty level of 4.5/5.

An opening date has yet to be confirmed.
