Preparations are being made for the opening of a new cafe on Tyneside's seafront.
Sea You There, on Victoria Crescent, in Cullercoats, North Tyneside, is set to open its doors to the public within the next fortnight.
It is on the site of the former By The Bay restaurant and will be run by Stephen Goodwill, 57, his wife Dina, 52, and their daughter, also called Dina, 28.
The cafe's name is now visible on the front of the building and work is continuing inside to give the venue a fresh look.
Mr Goodwill said: "We are originally from Whitley Bay but we moved to the Lake District 30 years ago.
"We recently decided to come back home and open this cafe.
"It's at a great location on the seafront and we are excited about opening up."
The street also has a number of other popular food and drink establishments including Beaches & Cream and High Tide.
