New salon specialising in curly hair opens in Glasgow's south side

A new hair salon aimed for people with curly hair is set to open on Victoria Road.

Cùrlach, pronounced 'cur-lock', is Gaelic for Curly and will specialise in making the most of each person's unique natural hair texture.

The salon will also offer ungendered prices, meaning a hair cut will be the same for both men, women, and non-binary people.

Cùrlach aim to provide their hairdressing services in an eco-friendly, non-judgemental, inclusive environment.

Having worked all over the world, stylists Emma and Rochelle have taken inspiration from around the globe to bring a tranquil, low-toxic, forward thinking space back to their home in Glasgow's south side.

Emma told Glasgow Live: "Using exclusively PETA approved eco-conscious products, we are also a proud member of the Green Salon Collective - allowing us to recycle materials such as metal foil and hair, which usually end up in landfill.

Emma added: "We will be working with local community organisations to make sure our services are accessible to everyone."

The salon opens officially on October 6th.
