Salesforce has introduced Agentforce for Revenue, a tool that uses AI agents to automate routine sales tasks like quoting, data entry, and follow-ups. It’s built into the redesigned Revenue Cloud. It is designed to help sales teams work faster and spend more time on closing deals.
Reps can now generate quotes by typing simple instructions. For example, saying “Quote a new generator with the usage-based energy pack” prompts Agentforce to automatically create a quote with the correct products, prices, and terms. Salesforce says this has reduced quoting time internally by 75% and cut down clicks by 87%.
Apart from that, the company is also updating its product configuration system. The new engine supports more complex quoting needs, and it now includes quotes with over 1,000 line items. It also replaces older rule-heavy systems with a more flexible approach that guides reps through valid product combinations in real time.
AI-Powered, API-First Platform
In order to support Agentforce and other AI tools, Salesforce rebuilt Revenue Cloud as an API-first platform. This means AI agents can work across all sales processes, from quote to invoice, and connect easily with other systems. These agents don’t just suggest actions; they complete tasks from start to finish, based on company rules and data access permissions.
If we go by the shared press release from Salesforce, the tool works across industries like manufacturing and healthcare. Interestingly, a company in the pharmaceutical training space named AdMed is already using it to modernize its sales process.
Furthermore, as part of its Summer ’25 release, Salesforce is also adding:
- Slack Integration: Reps can generate and manage quotes directly from Slack or within Salesforce records.
- Revenue Cloud Billing: Combines quote, contract, and billing data on one platform to simplify invoicing.
- Analytics with Tableau Next: Gives teams real-time visibility into pricing, orders, and revenue trends to support faster decision-making.
In terms of availability, the Agentforce and the new features in Revenue Cloud are available starting today. Besides, Salesforce says that it will continue to support its existing CPQ customers. And companies can renew contracts or add licenses as needed. For those looking to move to Revenue Cloud, Salesforce is offering migration support through partners.
