A brand new Sainsbury's Local convenience store has opened its doors in Hamilton.
The 2300 sq. ft store, at Portland Place, will be open to customers from 7am to 11pm Monday through to Sunday.
Customers will be able to choose from a wide range of grocery and household products as well as pick up a fresh coffee from a self-service Costa coffee machine.
Sainsbury’s property director Patrick Dunne told Lanarkshire Live : "We’re proud to be opening a new convenience store for the Hamilton community and expanding our store estate in Scotland.
"I want to thank our brilliant colleagues for all their hard work in getting the store ready to welcome customers through the doors, who I’m sure will enjoy the quality, value and convenience the store has to offer."
Sainsbury’s is committed to supporting its communities and the 20 colleagues that make up the new Hamilton team will play an active role in the local area and support Sainsbury’s nationwide community programmes and charity partners.
Charities in the area that Sainsbury’s has recently supported include Hamilton and District Local Foodbank, EK Community Foodbank and Clyde, Avon and Nethan Foodbank.
Store manager Ben Hinchliffe added: "The store looks fantastic and our team of colleagues can’t wait to welcome and serve customers, providing them with great quality and value alongside friendly service."
