New rules on picnics and barbecues that Glaswegians should follow from today

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced the relaxation of some of Scotland's lockdown restrictions yesterday.

Families can meet up in a limited capacity and people can enjoy some outdoor leisure pursuits as long as they maintain social distancing and practice hygiene.

But, she warned  Scots "must exercise care and caution and stick to the rules - the virus has not gone away."

The Scottish Government has published detailed guidance on how to apply the new rules safety as phase one of the four phase road map out of lockdown is implemented.

With the scorching weather upon us, many of us will be keen to break out the barbecue or pack up a picnic – but make sure you read these rules to be as safe as possible.
