New roof terrace for Ashton Lane: take a look at plans submitted for beloved city attraction

Plans have been submitted to Glasgow City Council for a new outdoor roof terrace on Ashton Lane.

The planning application for the new terrace relates to the building occupied by Vodka Wodka and ramen restaurant Ramen Dayo! at at 31-35 Ashton Lane in the west end.

It includes for the demolition of the current conservatory bar extension and the erection of a completely new extension with a roof terrace - along with associated external alterations.

The application, which was submitted to Glasgow City Council's Planning Department on January 25, details that the extension would create 75msq of additional floorspace, with the outdoor existing licensed area retained by the present occupants.

It is not yet known which Ashton Lane venue would be using the sizeable extension - but we're very keen to find out more so watch this space.

Regardless, this could be a wonderful little sun trap when restrictions finally allow hospitality to reopen once more.
