New 'Roof Garden' opening in Liverpool with DJs and disco parties

A Liverpool city centre bar is launching a series of roof garden parties.

Contemporary South East Asian inspired restaurant Mamasan, on College Lane, is launching a rooftop garden - and a series of events to celebrate. Located on the top floor of the restaurant, the indoor bar and outdoor terrace has been transformed into a party wonderland with a full weekend of mixology, music and DJs, curated by Liverpool Disco Festival.

The Roof Garden experience will take place every week, from Thursday to Sunday, with premium experiential cocktails, a small plate and dim sum concept menu and entertainment from Liverpool Disco Festival residents and friends. The third-floor indoor party space also features a new blossom tree and foliage that adorns the walls and winds out onto the roof terrace.

Thursdays will kick off The Roof Garden parties each weekend, with DJs playing music from the likes of Prince to Marvin Gaye, Donna Summer and Erykah Badu, as well as originals and remixes, between 9pm and 3am. The Thursday events officially launch on Thursday, June 23 with a Glastonbury theme.

Friday nights at The Roof Garden - called ‘Out of the Office and into the Garden’ - will be filled with soul, funk, disco, boogie and house DJs to start the weekend. Those who book a table between 5pm - 9pm will be treated to a complimentary round of small plate dim sum. The Friday event launched Friday, June 10.

Each Saturday there will be an all day Disco Garden Party. Starting at 12pm and running until the early evening. Throughout the day, there will be disco dancing, DJs, disco orchestra and inventive cocktails that are finished at the tables for extra pizazz.

Non-stop music from Liverpool Disco Festival disco DJs and performers will play all day on Saturdays, keeping the party atmosphere high. The weekly party will feature live music performances from the LDF Orchestra collective.

As the sun goes down, DJs will continue into the night, with upbeat house and disco sounds that stretch from New York to Paris, Berlin to Cape Town, Tokyo to Rio and beyond. The first Saturday event launches on June 4 with a special guest to be announced.

To finish off the weekend there will be a brunch event - ‘Dim Sum Sunday’ – where visitors can enjoy unlimited chef’s choice dim sum and indulge in Mamasan cocktails, wines, craft beers, and premium spirits. Liverpool Disco Festival will bring tropical and Latin house music as well as performances from live musicians. The first Dim Sum Sunday launches on June 5.

The collaboration between Mamasan and Liverpool Disco Festival will see LDF resident DJs perform on rotation, showcasing music styles from disco, funk, house, Afro Beats, Latin Jams, Neo-Soul and more. The Roof Garden is open Thursday - Sunday from early brunching to late night dining and dancing.
