New Rogue-One mural in Glasgow's west end celebrates Scottish music icons

Passers-by will be taking a second look walking along Byres Road this weekend as a new Rogue-one mural is unveiled.

The new artwork is adorning the side of west end eatery Embargo.

The mural celebrates the great and the good of Scottish music, and it's the first time that Annie Lennox, Calvin Harris, Emili Sandé and Lewis Capaldi have all come together in one place.

Commenting on the new mural, Callum Young, General Manager at Embargo said: “The idea behind the mural was to act as a link to the city centre art trail here within the heart of the west end.

"We wanted to honour a range of Scottish recording artists, different eras and different genres while putting a smile on people’s faces as they walk by.”

“It’s a visual celebration of Scottish musical talent during a difficult time for the creative and hospitality industries alike.”

The mural is the work of local artist Rogue-One, who is famous for his portfolio of murals across major sites in Glasgow.
