We've speculated that Roblox might hold a Classic event in May, but much to our disappointment those rumors didn't come true. However, a new Roblox event is cooking in the background as Roblox sends mysterious eggs to content creators. What is going on?
As I mentioned above, we've known that an event is incoming, but we had no concrete details about it until recently. For starters, the official Roblox X account has tweeted out an emoji chain which looks like something from Avatar: The Last Airbender (if you ignore like half of the emojis, but who knows, maybe Toph invented lightbulb bending).
Out of context, this tweet doesn't explain much. However, we do have the context in the form of a tweet posted by the creator of Roblox David Baszucki. He shared that the next Roblox event will possibly be about honoring the structure of our universe, along with a photo attached of broken up shards/fragments of something. Is this more of an infinity stone type of situation then? Collect all 8 and you'll win the prize?
It doesn't stop there. As we've found out, Roblox has been sending Eggs to content creators which seem to correspond to the elements and shards above. These Eggs also seem to be numbered, so people speculated that eight creators would get eight eggs. We did end up seeing an Egg numbered 20, which only adds to the confusion. Additionally, when you combine all the fragments from the picture above they form an Egg.
We thought the Egg Hunt was done with the Mega Hunt, but technically we did hunt for tokens instead of eggs. So are we getting an actual Egg Hunt?
As with previous events, people are always looking at places and subplaces created by Roblox Presents or any affiliate groups. There have been a couple which have peaked interest, but there's one that might confirm the name of the actual event, backed by what David Basuzcki has said in his tweet.
The currently unavailable game is called The Form and it is under a group called Platform Events. This group was created by Sourcemapper, an engineer at Roblox who has worked on the Hunt: Mega Edition. This further leans into the idea that this is the event name.
We haven't connected all of the dots (or eggs), just yet, but it will definitely be interesting to see what the new event will hold, if it will have multiple games participating in it, or if The Form will be a separate experience altogether. As soon as we find out more details, we will let you know.
