New restaurant opens at Bristol Airport

Italian-American restaurant chain Frankie and Benny’s has opened an outlet at Bristol Airport.

The eaterie is the most recent addition to the airport’s departure lounge, which has seen a number of new venues open in the last few months.

Sandwich shop EAT, Cornish pasty brand Warrens Bakery and Mexican street food restaurant Barburrito all opened in December.

The new Frankie & Benny’s restaurant will have a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu offering food inspired by New York Italian cuisine.

There will also be a number of gluten-free options, a cocktail menu and children’s meals.

It is Frankie and Benny’s seventh airport location.

Kate Ridgers, head of commercial development at Bristol Airport said: “We are delighted Frankie & Benny’s restaurant has opened at Bristol Airport.

“After market research and passenger feedback we know passengers start their trip as soon as they arrive at the airport.

“We wanted to offer an extended choice of menu to all passengers ahead of boarding their flight, providing a great place to relax and dine in an exciting new environment.”

Bristol Airport is the ninth largest airport in the UK and the fifth largest airport outside of London.

In 2018, over 8.6 million passengers used the airport, which has submitted planning approvals for expansion.
