New restaurant Eighty Eight to open in Partick replacing Two Fat Ladies

A new restaurant is coming to Glasgow's west end, promising delicious seasonal food.

Eighty Eight on Dumbarton Road, Partick will be located in the same premises where the seafood restaurant Two Fat Ladies was located before it closed its doors in 2018 after nearly 30 years of business.

There were hopes that Two Fat Ladies would open again, with a bid to take over the neighbouring unit at 86 Dumbarton Road.

However, the plans never came to fruition and the eatery's doors have remained closed - until now, when it is set to be given a new lease of life.

A lot of the details are still under wraps for the new restaurant, but it is will open its doors at the end of this week and will be an intimate venue, with just 24 seats available for diners and an emphasis on top quality, seasonal cooking.

That all sounds very good to us! We can't wait to check it out...
