New residential service for young people opens its doors

A new residential service for young people who struggle with mainstream education has opened in West Lothian.

Moore House Group’s newest provision for young people has opened its doors.

Tracy Johnston, former Care Inspector, cut the ribbon in her previous role as Registration Inspector was influential in the high quality provision that Moore House has created.

The Coach House is a spacious six bed residential service, with several living areas and en suite facilities for young people.

Moore House are delighted to open their new specialist day education service which provides a modern facility to support and nurture young people who have previously struggled in mainstream education.

Tracie Callaghan, Director at Moore House, has led the design and development of the services to ensure that there is a warm, homely and welcoming environment for their young people.

Patricia Sheridan, Founder and Managing Director at Moore House, was “delighted to be joined by invited guests from a range of disciplines from local authorities throughout the UK.

“I am excited by the opportunity that our new services will provide for staff and young people,” she added.

Moore House Academy Bathgate provides small group specialist education, including therapeutic support, for children and young people aged 11 to 18 years who have faced social and educational challenges.
