An image claimed to be the new Rangers away kit has leaked online.
Kit manufacturers Castore launched the home version last month and the traditional light blue strip with gold trim marks the Ibrox club’s 150th anniversary.
And while there has been no official confirmation, fans may have been afforded a glimpse of the away shirt for the 201/22 Premiership season.
An image tweeted by a Rangers fan shows a dark blue kit with red flashes under the arms and along the top of shoulders from the collar.
The 150 anniversary club crest is in gold, as is the Bet32 sponsors logo.
The shirt appears to have Castore tags attached which suggest the image could be genuine.
The name Peter McNeill also features inside the collar. McNeill, along with brother Moses, was one of the founding members of Rangers.
This year marks the 120th anniversary of his death in 1901. Sadly, McNeill had been sectioned and was certified insane when he passed away at the Hawkhead Asylum near Paisley.
If genuine, the inclusion of his name is a nice touch from the Govan outfit.
Steven Gerrard ’s side kick off the defence of their title at home to Livingston on 31 July, for which they will almost certainly wear their traditional home colours.
Away to Ross County on 21 August would usually call for a change kit, but dark blue, red and white wouldn’t work against the Staggies, so a first outing could come when they travel to Perth to play St Johnstone on 11 September.
