Fourth model from Range Rover comes with sporty profile, four-pot diesel and prices falling in between Evoque and Sport models.

Inchcape Thailand, the sole distributor of Jaguar and Land Rover, has officially launched the Range Rover Velar in the country.
Developed as the fourth Range Rover, the imported Velar has been conceived as the sportiest model featuring a sleek profile and road manners claimed by its maker to be the most focused on-road.
The engine choice for Thai showrooms is the 180hp 2.0-litre diesel-turbo mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels via the brand’s Terrain Response system. The diesel manages to undercut the 150g/km CO2 level enabling it enjoy just 30% excise tax.
There are three grades to choose from: S at 5.999 million baht, S R-Dynamic at 6.499 million baht and HSE at 6.999 million baht. Features reserved for HSE include 22-inch wheels (the other two get 21-inchers), active cruise control, emergency braking, rear traffic detection, adaptive LED headlights, 20-way adjustable front seats (the lesser ones receive 10-way) and the so-called Windsor leather upholstery.
The Velar has been priced in between the Evoque (3.999-4.699 million baht) and Sport Hybrid (6.999-7.999 million baht). Likewise, the Velar is priced and sized above the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and below the X6 and GLE Coupe.
