- A new direct rail service, operated by Czech company České dráhy, has launched between Prague and Copenhagen, marking the first such connection in over a decade.
- The service commenced on 1 May, initially running two trains daily with a temporary detour in Germany, making the journey slightly longer.
- From 14 June, the service will expand to full operation with three daily trains in each direction, taking about 11 hours to complete the journey.
- Tickets for the route, which passes through Dresden, Berlin, and Hamburg, start from CZK 1,600 (£57).
- Passengers will travel on ComfortJet trains, featuring ergonomic seats, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, power sockets, and a dining car, offering scenic views along the route.
