A new wave of PlayStation 5 consoles is expected in the coming days.

Fans overwhelmed retailers' websites earlier last week as the scramble to get hold of a PS5 continues.

GAME reportedly dropped 10,000 consoles in two batches on Thursday, and both releases sold out within minutes.

Meanwhile on Friday, ShopTo's website crashed almost instantly as online queues topped 20,000.

For the thousands of gamers who have missed out on a PS5 so far, more opportunities are expected this week with several retailers predicted to restock.

Twitter tipster PS5StockAlertUK has told fans that more supplies are expected at Amazon, Argos, Curry’s and Very.

Tweeting on Sunday morning, they added: "The Amazon drop this week, we expect them to be the first to start off the drops tomorrow in the morning, if not tomorrow, they’ll definitely drop this week."

They also told fans they believe Argos' stock will believe "drop either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday", after saying last week the retailer had been refilling all warehouses and hubs, as well as some of its stores.

One woman has told Birmingham Live she has seen a delivery of new consoles arrive at her local Argos branch.

She said: "Just been down my local Argos to collect a package and they had 1 pallet of PlayStation consoles, the lady couldn’t tell me when but said she expects her management team to put them on sale tomorrow morning click and collect.
