New Print of Qassim Haddad's 'Al Bishara' to Celebrate World Poetry Day

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities has reprinted "Al Bishara" (The Omen) poetry collection to celebrate Poet Qassim Haddad and the World Poetry Day.

The new print is handwritten by the poet and comes half a century after the release of the first copy in 1970.

"Al Bishara" is the first poetry collection written by Qassim Haddad.

Qassim Haddad is a Bahraini poet born in 1948. He co-founded "The Family of Novelists and Books in Bahrain" in 1969, and served in many of its leading positions.

He was the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Kalimat" and a founding member of "Awal Theater".

His poems were translated into many foreign languages, and his poetic experience has been explored in many dissertations in Arabic and foreign universities, in addition to many critical studies published in Arabic and foreign newspapers and journals.
