Police have introduced stricter measures for a Liverpool suburb following an increase in reports of anti-social and criminal behaviour.
Merseyside Police confirmed they have received "numerous reports" from residents and local businesses about anti-social behaviour around Woolton Village. In a bid to crack down on this, a dispersal zone will be in place for 48 hours this week.
The South Liverpool policing team took to social media to confirm that the dispersal zone will start on Wednesday, August 3 at 2pm and will be in place until Friday, August 5 at 1.59pm. Officers will be in the area to provide a visible presence and deal with any incidents.

The order comes under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour & Policing Act 2014 and gives police officers and police community support traffic officers powers to direct people they suspect are causing or likely to cause crime, nuisance or anti-social behaviour to members of the public to leave a designated area and not return for up to 48 hours.
The zone covers the Woolton Woods/Camp Hill area, Speke Road and parts of Beaconsfield Road.
