Tentative plans to build 84 homes in Kilmarnock have been drafted up.
Iceni Projects Ltd, acting on behalf of Hargreaves Land Limited, are considering building on land just off Glasgow Road.
Adjacent to the popular Southcraig estate, the site borders the Fenwick Water and Borland road and extends up to the roundabout that leads to the A77.
The proposed residential development includes the provision of a new vehicular and pedestrian/cycle access to the site, car parking, open space and landscaping within the site boundary.
The applicant has submitted a screening request - to determine whether or not the development needs an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
A complete planning application for the development is anticipated to follow in due course.
