New pictures reveal plans for 86 new homes in former court house

Plans for 86 new homes at an old court house have been revealed in new pictures.

Trafford council has launched a public consultation for the former Sale Magistrates’ Court site.

Seddon Development Ltd was announced earlier this year as the chosen developer for the plot.

The plans are for 48 town houses and 38 apartment (Avison Young/Trafford Council)

The plan is to build 48 townhouses and 38 apartments on the one-hectare site just off Ashton Road in Sale.

Seddon was selected from a list of developers following a procurement process and has proposed a residential scheme with a mix of homes, including some ‘affordable’ housing.

The site was bought by the council from Homes England with a view to redevelop the site for housing close to the town centre.

Coun James Wright, Trafford council’s executive member for housing and regeneration, said: “This is a flagship scheme in the centre of the town and meets the council’s policy and commitment of building more housing on brownfield sites, including affordable homes.

“But, as always, we want all of our residents to give their views on any proposed scheme. Please take part in our virtual consultation, we want as many views as possible on this development to make sure that everyone is happy with the final scheme. Thank you.”
