New pictures of Sainsbury's at Colwick Loop Road and how you can apply to work there

Work at a new Sainsbury's store in Nottingham is nearing completion with the supermarket giant now recruiting for staff.

The new store off the A612 Colwick Loop Road, is due to open in late November.

In the latest pictures of the site the construction team can be seen working on the car park and surrounding areas, however there is still no signage on the building of the store itself.

A petrol station and Argos facility will also be on site.

Planning permission was originally approved for a supermarket and petrol station back in 2014 but the project didn't progress.

Sainsbury’s subsequently reviewed the requirements for the store and made minor amendments to the proposals which were passed last summer.

Earlier this year, the company's property director Patrick Dunne said: "This will be a fantastic state-of-the-art store and gives the local community more convenience and greater access to our high-quality, great value products.

"We’re proud of this major investment into the local area."

The long-awaited supermarket and petrol station are expected to create more than 100 jobs.

A number of jobs are being advertised on Sainbury's own website including roles for trading assistants and online assistants.

In its job advertisement, the supermarket says that vacancies are for "a new store due to open late November and interviews will take place at Sainsbury's Castle Boulevard Superstore. If successful [candidates] will undergo a period of training in a nearby store prior to the new store's launch."

Online and trading assistants roles are being advertised at a hourly pay rate of £9.50.
