New pictures of Kieran Trippier leaving hotel to sign for Newcastle United

Newcastle United's first January signing Kieran Trippier will be unveiled at St James' Park today.

Here is the scene at the Hilton Hotel on the Quayside this morning as the England star headed to the ground to complete his £12million deal from Atletico Madrid.

Trippier spent the night on Tyneside after a whirlwind day as he was flown into Newcastle via a private jet from Madrid.

The former Burnley and Spurs star will pen an initial two-year contract after United got in there first ahead of Manchester United and Chelsea.

Newcastle are looking to quickly follow up on Trippier with a second signing as Eddie Howe eyes a centre-back and left-back to bolster his squad.
