Spoilers for Peaky Blinders season 5
The revelations just keep on coming for the Shelby clan, even though season 5 is over.
A newly released bonus scene from the most recent run of Peaky Blinders has revealed more on why Aunt Polly Gray ( Helen McCrory ) decided to turn her back on her nephew Tommy Shelby ( Cillian Murphy ).
The clip shows the pair discuss Tommy's alignment with the British Union of Fascists and its leader, Sir Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin).
Polly tells her nephew: "And after I am married, Aberama has suggested that I resign my position from Shelby Company Limited, because I can no longer stand to be in a room with a man who contemplates fascism, even as part of a strategy."
Tommy replies: "Polly, I have calls to make. Talk to me about resignation when and if the time comes, aye?"
"Oh, the time has almost come, Tommy," she replies.
This certainly reveals more motive to Polly resigning from the company in the finale, alongside the departure of her son Michael Gray (Finn Cole) to set up a new drug trafficking business with the family of his wife, Gina (Anya Taylor-Joy), who are set to play a major role in the sixth season.
Additionally, Polly probably wants to honour the memory of her late betrothed Aberama Gold ( Aidan Gillen ), who was killed off in the last episode before he could avenge the death of his son and kill Billy Boys leader Jimmy McGavern (Brian Gleeson).
Peaky Blinders will return for season 6.
