The Japan News print edition will be featuring new and additional content for our readers.
A new series called Vantage Point will appear on select weekends featuring interviews of expatriates in Japan by our staff writers. We will be asking the interviewees about their impressions of Japan, among other aspects of their lives here, as well as hear about the attractions of their homeland.
Also, the current Science page will be expanded to a two-page spread appearing Wednesdays. One page will be our new Nature & Environment section, in line with the international community rolling out efforts to tackle global warming and other environmental issues. The other page will be called Science & Technology.
Asia Now, currently featured on Mondays and Thursdays, will also appear on Saturdays with a wider range of stories. The page features articles provided by the Asia News Network (ANN), an alliance of 24 media outlets in the region to which The Japan News and The Yomiuri Shimbun belong. With events and business trends in the region attracting ever more attention, the page delivers stories regional media outlets and local journalists can uncover.
With these changes, the Detours page will not appear for the time being, while our Perspectives page will appear on Sundays instead of Saturdays as we strive to bring readers more original feature stories.
Much of our new content will also appear on The Japan News online.
