New Orleans Saints working on deal to bring back Malcolm Jenkins

It appears as though the New Orleans Saints are ready to reunite with former Ohio State safety Malcolm Jenkins according to a report from ESPN. Jenkins played in the Big Easy from 2009 to 2013, winning a Super Bowl in 2010 as a second-team All-Pro selection.

He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2014 and may have gotten even better. He made the Pro-Bowl in 2015, 2017, and 2018. Jenkins earned his second Super Bowl ring with Philadelphia in 2018.

Now, it appears as though the Saints would like to bring the former consensus All-American Ohio State player back.

Head coach Sean Payton has often described Jenkins as a player that he wished the Saints had never let go.

“Should have never let him leave to begin with,” Payton told ESPN.

“Malcolm, I think the world of him,” Payton said after a 2018 game against the Eagles. “He’s a tremendous player, and I hate that he got out of here. That was probably as big a mistake as we’ve made here in 13 years. He’s made up of all the right things, and he’s a tremendous competitor.”

Well, now it appears he is back.
