New openings Dublin: Popular pub The Sackville Lounge reopens under new management after being closed for two years

One of Dublin's most popular pubs has announced that is reopening under new management.

The Sackville Lounge just off O'Connell Street on Sackville Place shut its doors for what looked like was going to be forever in 2017.

But, in an ecstatic tweet posted on Monday evening, the pub said they were "delighted to announce that they were reopened for business under new management".

They added: "Pop in for the perfect pint of Guinness and experience the craic, charm and atmosphere of one of Dublins little Gems."

The news of the reopening was met with a delirious response by favourites of the watering hole.

One person commented: "Great news, the best little pub in Dublin by a country mile."

Another added: "Fantastic news Guys, see you soon for pints! Dublin needs more of this."

As well as this, The Mercantile Group has opened a new bar on Camden Row.

Situated near Whelan's and Opium, The Crafty Fox offers cocktails, a selection of craft beers and evening food at 37 Camden Row.

The pub's opening hours are 12pm to 12am and they're open seven days a week.
