New opening times for Morrisons released including change to Sunday hours

Morrisons has posted on its Facebook page to inform it customers of the new opening hours for its stores.

The retailer says the changes, which begin tomorrow, are due to stock levels improving.

Opening hours are being extending giving customers the option to shop later in the evening as Morrisons says it hope the longer hours will "ease congestion" and "make it easier to shop".

Its post said: "Thank you for your continued support by shopping considerately and observing social distancing guidance in our stores.

"As the evenings get lighter and the stock levels on our shelves has improved, to ease congestion and make it easier to shop, from next week we will open our stores for longer."

Last week Morrisons started opening stores at 7am instead of the previous 8am and now from tomorrow it will closing them at 10pm instead of the previous 8pm.

This means from Monday-Saturday Morrisons stores will be open 7am-10pm and Sundays 9.30am-4pm.

Priority access for NHS workers will be Monday-Saturday 6am-7am and Sunday 9am-9.30am.
