New on Steam: 'ROUTINE' Brings Horror Fans Have Waited More Than 10 Years For

The moon is a favorite place of exploration for humans, and we don't mean just by NASA and other space agencies. Even certain video games like the idea of exploring the moon.

An example of which is today's "New on Steam" feature. The thing about the unknown, however, is that it can get pretty scary, and that's what today's game is all about.

What's new on Steam? It's none other than "ROUTINE."

New on Steam: 'ROUTINE'

Released on December 4, 2025, "ROUTINE" is developed by Lunar Software and published by Raw Fury. Believe it or not, those who have been waiting for this game had to wait for more than a decade for it.

"ROUTINE" incorporates bother science fiction and horror elements as the player deals with being stuck in an abandoned lunar base.

Your task as the player is the explore and find out what happened, but you'll soon encounter an enemy who is very convinced that you are the real threat.

System Requirements

The following are the minimum system requirements in order to run "ROUTINE:"

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8600 / Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD Radeon RX 570
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 10 GB available space

On the other hand, these are the recommended system requirements of the game.

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-13600K / AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 / Radeon RX 5700

Early Steam Reviews

As of press time, "ROUTINE" has more than 1,700 user reviews on Steam, which has classified them as "Very Positive."

"Atmospheric masterpiece," heffleycakes said in a Steam review. "Horrifying, deliciously dreadful, and the most immersive horror I have ever played."

"I've been waiting for Routine for over 10 years, and was not disappointed," Buster said in a separate review.

"Has some great scares, just enough intentional jankiness to make combat scary, and the art/sound direction is genuinely incredible," Buster added.
