New on Netflix UK this week from Money Heist to How to Fix a Drug Scandal

As we continue to live in self isolation and socially distance ourselves from others, it's a great excuse to get stuck in to some Netflix content.

This week we have quite the line-up of series to dig into on the streaming service, whether it's new comedy shows, thrillers, or documentaries.

Notable picks include the return of global hit thriller Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) for its fourth run - will the gang survive a threat from the inside?

Meanwhile, we have a new true crime documentary series that goes inside how one person's addiction affected thousands, in How to Fix a Drug Scandal.

Elsewhere we have the continuing dramatics of RuPaul's Drag Race, which this week features a Mean Girls movie reunion!

Here's what to expect from releases on Netflix UK this week.

How to Fix a Drug Scandal - April 1

An exciting new true crime series for us to sink our teeth into!

This four-part series follows crime drug lab chemist Sonja Farak when she is arrested in 2013 by Massachusetts State Police for tampering with evidence.

However, it's only the start as it soon emerges that Farak was also using the drugs Over time, details emerged that Farak had been in fact using the drugs that she was tasked with testing.

It soon becomes clear that many people knew about Farak's abuse of these drugs and prompted multiple convictions.

Impacting thousands of people, the case and its trial are recreated in dramatic scenes and speaks directly to Farak's loved ones.

Nailed It!: Season 4 - April 1

Out on Wednesday is the return of a cooking show with a difference.

Hosted by Nicole Byer and Jacques Torres, home bakers with a poor history iof baking take a shot at re-creating edible masterpieces for a $10,000 prize.

Described as "part competition, part hot mess", the new run also sees some kids let loose in the kitchen and the use of liquid nitrogen.

Guest judges this time around include Adam Scott and Gabby Douglas.

Sunderland 'Til I Die: Season 2 - April 1

One for the sports fans who are currently grieving for their temporary loss of the beautiful game.

Sunderland AFC return for a new run of the reality series that sees the team competing to enter into the third tier of English soccer.

Taking us inside the workings behind the scenes and on the pitch, the new six-part series sees new owner Stewart Donald and Executive Director Charlie Methve try to save the team from financial ruin.

The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show - April 1

Hold on to your top knot as we're about to get a satirical new six-part sketch series, The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show.

The series sees funny comedian Iliza Shlesinger take aim at all the cliches and stereotypes that we usually see on TV.

David Batra: Elefanten I Rummet - April 1

If you fancy some even more topical comedy then do check out Swedish stand-up David Batra as he cracks jokes about being married to a recently resigned political leader.

We feel like this could get very awkward very quickly!

Money Heist (La casa de Papel): Part 4 - April 3

The hit Spanish thriller is finally back for its epic fourth run.

Continuing on from the third season's dramatic cliffhanger, the Professor is struggling has he believes that Lisbon has been executed.

The gang are back for more thievery in Money Heist Part 4 (Netflix)

Meanwhile, Toyko and Rio have destroyed up an army tank and Nairobi is in a place between life and death.

Facing near impossible dangers, a new threat emerges from amongst the gang's own ranks and could threaten the survival of their order and the heist.

Money Heist: The Phenomenon - April 3

If you can't get enough of Money Heist, Netflix is also releasing a documentary on the same day that looks at what a huge sensation the show has become.

Looking directly at the fandom and how they have shaped the show over time, this is one for die-hards and newcomers alike.

Coffee & Kareem - April 3

In this brand new movie, 12-year-old Kareem (Terrence Little Gardenhigh) decides to take action and cause the break-up of his own mother Vanessa Manning ( Taraji P. Henson ) and her boyfriend, police officer James Coffee ( Ed Helms ).

One troublesome boy comes between his mother and her boyfriend but puts them all in danger in Coffee & Kareem (Justina Mintz/Netflix)

However, the scheming boy's violent plan to take out Coffee leads to the exposure of an extremely dangerous criminal network that puts the entire family at risk and forces former enemies Kareem and Coffee to team up.

This sounds like quite the unlikely duo!

RuPaul's Drag Race season 12, episode 6 - April 4

It's that time of the season again: it's Snatch Game!

That's right the game of impersonations and parodies is back for the latest run, but which queens will reign victorious? And who will sashay away?

This week's guest judges also offer us a Mean Girls movie reunion in the former of actors Daniel Franzese (Damian) and Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels)!

Also out

Margot Robbie's ice-skating biopic I, Tonya is out on the service this week.

There's also Friday Night Dinner series 4 added to the roster, while the entire run of quirky US sitcom Community arrives on Netflix - that's six seasons!

Finally, enjoy 1980s classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off and 2004's Studio Ghibli film Howl's Moving Castle alongside six other films from the legendary studio.
