New on DVD: There's something strange in the sky as 'Nope' arrives

Another suspense-filled entry from writer-director Jordan Peele tops the DVD releases for the week of Oct. 25.

"Nope": Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer star as siblings who face off with a mysterious extraterrestrial at their California desert ranch, hoping to collect evidence of the phenomena.

Critic Katie Walsh, writing for the Tribune News Service, found the film to be "another genre-disrupting masterpiece from Jordan Peele, whose intellectual, curious and playful perspective has become vital, and necessary, for the horror and sci-fi genre to evolve."

"The Invitation": Horror thriller starring Nathalie Emmanuel as a young woman who discovers a new family member via DNA testing and gets invited to a family wedding at a mysterious English manor.

"Breaking": Based on a true story, this tense thriller starring John Boyega follows an Atlanta bank robbery as a troubled vet uses a hostage situation to bring attention to his plight with Veterans Affairs.

"Blade of the 47 Ronin": Action fantasy film set in the world of modern-day samurai clans.

"Official Competition": An eccentric filmmaker, bankrolled by a pharmaceutical exec, starts the rehearsal process for her new film with two legendary actors, and things quickly spiral out of control, in this Argentinian satire featuring Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas.

"This is Gwar": Documentary film about the memorable metal band known for their over-the-top theatrics.

"Titans: The Complete Third Season": Get caught up on the DC superhero drama based on the Teen Titans comics ahead of the Season 4 premiere Nov. 3 on HBO Max.

"You: Season 3": Netflix crime drama about a young man with an obsessive personality.

"Ray Donovan: The Complete Series": Liev Schreiber stars as a fixer doing the dirty work of L.A.'s rich and famous in this 29-disc collection that includes all seven seasons of the Showtime drama as well as the movie from earlier this year.

"Charmed: The Final Season": Lucy Barrett joins the sisterhood, replacing the departed Madeleine Mantock, in Season 4 of the witchy CW reboot.

"Don't Worry Darling": A housewife in a utopian 1950s community starts to question her existence when strange things begin happening in this drama that made plenty of headlines off-camera as well. Starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine and Olivia Wilde, who also directed.

"Pearl": Mia Goth stars in writer-director Ti West's prequel to this year's "X," in which Goth played a dual role as the old woman killer who takes out a crew of young pornographers making a movie on her Texas ranch, as well as one of the young stars of the production within the film, with the story this time set in 1918.

"Medieval": A war epic about the legendary Czech warrior Jan Zizka, starring Ben Foster, Michael Caine and Sophie Lowe.

"Operation Seawolf": Dolph Lundgren stars as a German submarine captain tasked with leading a last-ditch naval attack against U.S. in the final days of World War II.
