New on DVD: MCU's Norse god returns in 'Thor: Love and Thunder'

The fourth Thor film starring Chris Hemsworth tops the DVD releases for the week of Sept. 27.

"Thor: Love and Thunder": The God of Thunder reunites with an old flame as Natalie Portman's Jane Foster returns, and saves the kids of New Asgard from a terrifying "god butcher" played by a villainous Christian Bale, with "Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi again helming the action.

"It’s a superhero movie that would rather be a rom-com, but the two genres don’t play nice here," writes Tribune News Service critic Katie Walsh in her review. "The best thing to say about this movie is that it does have its heart in the right place. But Waititi’s brand of humor has worn out its welcome here. Thor may return, but it’s time for a change."
