New Nottingham Forest signing Albert Adomah's first interview will delight Reds fans

New signing Albert Adomah has experienced the “intense” City Ground atmosphere before – and he is looking forward to doing so again, only this time in a Nottingham Forest shirt.

The free agent winger has penned a two-year deal with the Reds after being released by Aston Villa,

And having faced Forest on their own turf as an opposition player – with Villa and former teams Middlesbrough and Bristol City – he cannot wait to run out on the banks of the Trent wearing the Garibaldi.

“The supporters stand out especially,” he said of his new club.

“I remember playing for Bristol City against Forest and the atmosphere was quite intense - even when I was at Middlesbrough and Aston Villa, it was the same.

“I know how good the supporters are. The attendances are always great.

“Hopefully I can show my talent in front of a massive crowd.

“It’s a pleasure signing for another massive club and hopefully I can show my talent.”

Sabri Lamouchi’s side will be looking to when the new Championship campaign gets underway.

And Adomah knows exactly what that takes, having won promotion during his time in the West Midlands and at Boro.

Last term he played a key role as Dean Smith’s Villa triumphed via the play-offs, being included in the starting line-up against Derby County in the final at Wembley.

Now he’s hoping for a similar experience at Forest.

“I want to aim for promotion, that’s nailed on. Hopefully that will happen with Forest,” the 31-year-old told the club’s official website.

“That’s why I’m here – to play and hopefully be successful.

“I’m experienced in the Championship and hopefully my experience can help the young talent here.

“And hopefully, myself as an individual, I can help the team proceed to the next stage. Hopefully I can help them reach the top end of the table – and hopefully promotion.”
