New Nike Tottenham Hotspur 2023/24 home kit revealed with Harry Kane summer transfer hint

Tottenham and Nike have revealed the club's new home kit for the 2023/24 campaign, with the design sporting the usual white strip, but with some key changes.

This season saw Spurs wear a plain white shirt, with a navy blue trim and yellow accents on the sides, while the away kit was a violet colour matched with yellow and navy blue on the collar and shoulders. There is yet to be a confirmation of when next season's away kit will be revealed.

The design for next season's kit is all white, as opposed to the usual white shirt and navy blue shorts combination that has been adopted in recent years - though it has been confirmed that the women's team will wear alternate blue shorts following player feedback in a huge positive change for the game. The shirt design itself contains different line features that are supposed to represent the music scene of north London, while also having a classic feel, and will be first worn in a friendly against West Ham United in Perth on 18 July.

Featuring prominently in the reveal video are stars such as Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Richarlison from the men's team, as well as women's team star Ashleigh Neville. A description on the shirt from the club reads: "The Adult Tottenham Hotspur Home Shirt 2023/24 builds on more than a century of tradition to update the iconic kit that helped this team earn the nickname the Lilywhites.

"An all over linework pattern inspired by the borough’s vibrant music scene and streetwear culture, adds a fresh energy to the Spurs classic white. Even after 128 years, some things just do not need changing which is why we of course kept the white!"

It will be the first look that the side will wear during the new era under Ange Postecoglou, who was announced as the next head coach of Spurs earlier this week. The Australian coach has impressed with his time in Japan before making the switch to Celtic, where he managed to return the Scottish side to the top.

His move to north London will see him tasked with overhauling Tottenham to becoming contenders at the top of the Premier League again, as well as competing for trophies. With an eighth-placed finish to improve on, many fans will be hopeful of an uptake in form as well as performances.

Many will be hoping it won't be the last Tottenham home kit design worn by star striker Kane, with speculation growing over his future at the club. The England international captain is entering the final 12-months of his contract with the Lilywhites, with plenty of links with an exit this summer.

It remains to be seen whether the forward will make such a move, but given his involvement in the campaign for the shirts, it could point towards a stay this summer.
