New 'neighbourhood pub' to replace Tribeca on Smithdown Road

A new pub is due to open on Smithdown Road in the former Tribeca site.

The news follows the announcement of popular bar and pizzeria Tribeca closing down, while sister venue Neon Jamon will be making its return.

On Instagram, Tribeca confirmed the "rumours are true" and it will be closing down before announcing refurbishment is underway on a "new neighbourhood pub".

The new pub, The Crafty Swine, will ensure Tribeca's "delicious pizzas will live on in a smaller form".

Tribeca's main room is undergoing a refurbishment to transform it into the new pub. It will offer patrons craft and cask ales, breakfast, bar snacks and "pizzettes" - Tribeca's much-loved pizza formula in miniature.

The Crafty Swine will also be dog friendly.

On Instagram, Tribeca penned: "As one door closes 2 doors open… the refurb work that has been getting done on the main room is for @thecraftyswine a new neighbourhood pub! Craft & cask ales, dog friendly, family friendly, breakfast, bar bites anddddd PIZZETTES our delicious pizzas will live on in a smaller form.

"And after we close on the 6th February we’ll be starting work on the long awaited return of @neon_jamon

"Come and join us from Thursday to get the last of your margheritas and strawberry laces."

The Crafty Swine is based on Smithdown Road. Its exact opening date has yet to be confirmed.
