New National Lottery game gives winners £10,000 a month for 30 years

A new National Lottery game offering winners a pension-style prize of up to £10,000 a month for 30 years is being launched.

Tickets for the Set For Life draw will cost £1.50 a line, with online draws held twice a week. Players will need to match five numbers from one to 47 and one Life Ball from one to 10 for the top prize.

Camelot CEO Nigel Railton said: “Annuity games really appeal to a growing number of people who like the idea of winning a prize paid out in regular instalments over the long term, and are very successful in other countries.

“We think that Set For Life will be just as popular here in the UK.”

The launch of the new game coincides with the 25th annivers

ary of the lottery’s foundation. In that time it has raised more than £39 billion for assorted good causes.

Players will be able to buy tickets online or at any of the 45,000 shops that already sell its products in the same way as the standard lottery game.

Draws will be held every Monday and Thursday. They will not be televised but can be viewed on the lottery website.

Earlier this month, a couple from Northern Ireland were revealed as the winners of a £115 million EuroMillions win - the fourth biggest in the UK.
