New music on Wednesday

Blaq Poet – Ain't Nuttin Changed
(from Cocaine Blunts)
A classic example of hip-hop that died. Nuttin weird or clever about it, and therein lies the charm.

Bitches – Wallet
(from MySpace)
Here's to youth. Here's to shouting. And to looking as far as the person in bed next to you for a bandmate. And channelling Henry Rollins on black coffee and X-Ray Spex on Panda Pops. Here's to the gall of them. Those crazy Bitches.

The Meanest Boys – I'll Take Whatever It Takes

(from Said the Gramophone)
There was life in the Dandy Warhols' soggy drone-rock opuses after all. Who knew?

Dan Deacon – Get Older
(from Pinglewood)
Since we last mentioned him the talent behind Pinglewood has been snapped up by the competition, so this is the last time we'll highlight his excellent blog. Dan Deacon's latest (from his new album, Bromst) is the perfect leaving present – a pass-the-parcel bundle of bizarrely addictive percussive nonsense. Thanks Pinglewood – just what we always wanted.

Chipmunk – Chip Diddy Chip
(from Popjustice)
As Newham Generals told us last weekend, "People forgot that Grime is for dancing to". Chipmunk didn't, and as a "crossover tune" (there's a guitar on it) Chip Diddy Chip works nicely. Well ... better than most anyway.
