Glasgow's southside is set to be treated to a brand new music festival next month.
South by Southside will take place over one day on May 11 in the Queen’s Park area of the city.
The festival will be held at the Queen’s Park Arena - a renovated bandstand and amphitheatre hosting a number of events this summer.

One of the organisers, Ian Murdoch, said: "We all live near Queen’s Park and have watched the Arena’s development start and stop but it’s now becoming a real focal point for local cultural events. We feel the area deserves a vibrant, affordable festival that brings together music, food and drink and showcases local vendors."
The majority of acts came after details of the event were posted on Facebook music groups. The festival will bring together a variety of acts, from hip-hop to Americana and everything in between.
Ian said: "We were blown away by the number of artists interested and the standard out there. It was a really competitive process which speaks volumes for those we have signed up to play on the day.

"We believe the event offers something for everyone, from hardcore music fans to families looking for a fun day out. All we need now is some sunshine and we’ll be onto a winner."
South by Southside will take place between 12pm and 8pm on Saturday, May 11.
