If you're looking for a Children's Day gift that offers your little ones a little extra, why not take them on an educational excursion next Saturday?

Indeed, why stop at one trip? Available for purchase until Sept 30, Museum Siam's Muse Pass allows free access to 55 museums and learning centres throughout the kingdom. The ticket is valid for one year from the day of first use.

In addition to Museum Siam on Sanam Chai Road, other attractions covered by the pass include Phaya Thai Palace on Ratchawithi Road, The Queen Gallery on Ratchadamnoen Road, Baan Mowaan on Bamrung Muang, Anti-Corruption Museum on Phitsanulok Road and Chulalongkorn University Museum of Natural History to name but a few.

And if all that sounds a bit too adult, the Muse Pass covers lots of places for kids too.

Tooney Toy Museum on Srisaman Road in Nonthaburi has an impressive collection of over 100,000 toys from all over the world. There's also a small cafe that sells good coffee as well as souvenirs for customers who might want to start being a collector. Sound like fun?

Fans of superheroes should be sure to check out Batcat Museum and Toys Thailand on Srinakarin Road. The museum, set up by a Batman superfan and avid toy collector, features all manner of Batman memorabilia alongside over 50,000 pieces from other superhero lines dating back to the 1960s.

Then there's the National Aviation Museum of the Royal Thai Air Force on Phahon Yothin Road, always a favourite with kids. Established in 1952, the museum houses and preserves the aircraft, ordnance and communication devices used by the Air Force, including pilot equipment, uniforms, documents and other important materials related to aviation.

The museum also hosts the aviation library, which contains history books, archives, photos and historical documents of aviation for research and study.

If you feel like going a little further afield, the Muse Pass can take you and your children to Space Inspirium in Chon Buri, Thailand's first space museum and learning centre. The Space Inspirium allows visitors to unleash their imagination and seek answers about the universe through state-of-the-art presentation technology. Have fun with the museum's well-designed interactive platform.

A little further away still is Phuket Aquarium. This aquarium is 35 years old and was established as part of the Phuket Marine Biological Centre. Here visitors can see beautiful creatures from Thailand's lakes, rivers and seas and will be taken on a journey through a variety of habitats including mountain streams, mangroves, beautiful coral reefs and even down into the depths of the ocean.

The Muse Pass costs 299 baht. Call 02-225-2777 ext 529 for more information.
