New mural appears in Glasgow's east end

A new mural has appeared in the east end of Glasgow on the side of a tenement building.

Glasgow Live reader Scott McQueen spotted the artwork popping up on Abercromby Street, near London Road.

The mural, believed to be the work of artist Mark Worst - who is responsible for dozens of street art pieces in Paisley and Glasgow - depicts a woman with her head covered by a shawl, surrounded fish and marine life.

It is unclear what the mural has been inspired by, however, people have speculated the woman featured refers to St Enoch, the mother of St Mungo.
